Journal Website

GEOINFORMATIVA magazine is an annual printed publication of the Institute of Geology and Paleontology of the Geological Service of Cuba.

The creation of a web page for the journal was a key step to achieve a wider reach in the dissemination of the contents and discoveries of the Institute and its professionals.

About the Project

Foscus:
The journal lacked recognition and visibility in the Cuban scientific context, despite the high quality of its articles. The objective of this project was to eliminate this problem by using digital means to achieve it. Another relevant objective was to improve the workflow for the publication of articles.

The process was extensive and required close coordination with the entity's management. In the conceptualization phase, it was decided to use illustrations and graphics to achieve the recognition of the young people. It was a collaborative effort with other designers and specialists at the center.

The GEOINFORMATIVA Journal website is the perfect tool for content management by researchers. It was able to speed up revisions and increase the number of publications and subscribers, establishing itself as a direct competitor of universities and other centers of scientific activity.
